1957 BENTLEY S-CONTINENTAL PARK WARD CONVERTIBLE BC21LCH - 77,829 MILES
Description
An extremely well documented late specification specimen of 31 left drives built 1955-59 delivered July,1957 to the Baroness Pannonica Rothschild de Koeningswarter finished Shell Grey with Red Connolly hides, as it is today. The Baroness was a meticulous automobile fancier who used it in the new York area over the next three decades, averaging about 2,500 miles per year. Upon her demise in late 1998 ownership of the 76,733 mile automobile and its complete build sheets, order files and service history passed to her son, Baron Shaun de Koenigswarter who kept it in safe heated storage until 1994 when he had it shipped to a recognized specialist facility in the UK for a complete bolt by bolt restoration 1995-2000.

In May of 2001, upon its return to the U.S. it was acquired by ourselves. We felt that certain aspects of the restoration were not quite to our standards and they were addressed. Correctly ducted air conditioning was fitted, after which it became part of the display of the second family to ever enjoy it, albeit on a limited basis until our recent receipt of the vehicle at which time the convertible top was upgraded to power operation as some of the late examples.

This fine high speed performer comes to you with complete tools, correct handbook and copious documentation of the fascinating life of the original owner along with her well preserved files. We believe it is by far the finest of necessarily few genuine left drives available anywhere in the world.

As previously promised, the photos shown are current.
